Flutter of Birds II: Tenshi-tachi no Tsubasa is a two-episode OVA series released in 2003. Episode 1, titled "Chapter of Reminiscence," introduces Shin'ya Sinclair, a young man of mixed English and Japanese heritage. After his mother's passing, Shin'ya travels to her hometown, the snow-covered town of Kuramachi, to connect with his roots. There, he stays with his aunt Miyu at her church. During his stay, Shin'ya injures his leg and visits a local clinic, where he meets Narumi Narahara, a reserved girl with a passion for reading. Their encounter becomes a memorable experience for Shin'ya, as he navigates new relationships and uncovers aspects of his mother's past. The episode blends themes of nostalgia, self-discovery, and the forging of new connections.
